Star Wars: Battlefront 3 Pre alpha footage leaked

Mind = blown. Rumours that Free Radical were working on Star Wars: Battlefront 3 have been circulating for some time now. And whilst there was some decent evidence to support it, I didn’t want ot get my hopes up too much. Now a video has appeared on YouTube which appears to be a working early version of the game. This would be pre-Alpha so there are a lot of rough edges, but it looks pretty good so far.

With reports about Resident Evil: Racoon City featuring hidden information about Star Wars: Battlefront 3 maybe it’s time to be a little more optimistic. The video suggests this is set in the Rebellion era; of great interest was the scene where the player piloted an A-wing against both ground and orbiting targets. That’s right up my street. Oh and you may recognise the fellow wielding a lightsaber…

    Hm… although I would estimate that the quality of the textures looks suspiciously similar to BF2, it does appear to run on a slightly different engine. This is particularly obvious pertaining to the way the gun handles i.e. zooming in slightly over the shoulder when aiming – the feel of it looks much more organic than the somewhat sack-person physics of BF2. I definitely WANT this to be real.
