Nuclear war, although no longer at the forefront of our minds is still a terrifying prospect, one at the core of Metro: Last light, which is the sequel to the Russian FPS / Survival horror Metro: 2033. This short film (because it’s far more than a trailer) puts you on the ground with ordinary people at the moment of apocalypse.
With palpable tension from the first moment and sheer panic in abundance THQ brings us a fucking harrowing experience that will give you pause. Made more visceral because it’s a live action short, in Russian without subtitles; the cries for mercy towards the end of the film will make you shudder and try as you might, it makes you wonder what would happen if we really did end up in a nuclear war.
